NCC: OPERATION MANAGEMENT AND FACILITY MAINTENANCE FOR EMERGENCY COMMUNICATION CENTRE (ECC) – EBONYI

The Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) is the regulatory authority for Nigeria's telecommunications industry, tasked with fostering competition and ensuring quality services nationwide. Recognizing the critical role of Emergency Communication Centre’s (ECC’s) in fostering safety of citizens, mitigate insecurity (terrorism, kidnapping, armed robbery, communal clashes as well as safe guard lives and properties, the Nigerian Communications Commission initiated a National Competitive Bid and awarded a two-year contract to Office Machines Nigeria Limited for Business Process Operation, Managed Services and Facility Management of the ECC in Abakaliki, Ebonyi State.

ECC is a national initiative and vital for immediate response in case of emergencies by connecting distressed persons with appropriate response agencies. The NCC's commitment to national safety and peace is commendable. The process which was highly competitive led to the selection of Office Machines Nigeria Limited tasked with the responsibility to deliver exceptional service. This contract underscores the NCC's dedication to enhancing emergency response capabilities through efficient ECC operations and facility maintenance in Ebonyi.The project commenced on October, 2023. Since commencement Office Machines has mobilized materials and personnel: call takers, technical and operational staff to execute the project. As expected employees work round the clock, including public holidays to realize a major key performance indicator which is prompt and efficient operations.Our team is relentless in ensuring that the project is delivered with exceptional quality and service.
